What matters in California
Base and frost depth. California has minimal in most of the state, deeper in the Sierra. That governs how a permanent foundation has to be built, though a compacted gravel pad, which is what most of our structures sit on, is far less sensitive to it. If you are pouring a slab, this is the number your contractor will ask for.
Weather the building has to take. The live issue here is wildfire setback rules and seismic anchoring. That should influence roof style and anchoring more than it influences which building you pick.
Permits. Permitting in California is city-led, and among the more involved permit processes. We cannot tell you your specific answer, because your city or county sets it, not the state and not us. Take the footprint and peak height from the product page and call your local building department before you order.
Access and delivery
We deliver the structure whole and place it on your prepared base. Measure the narrowest point on the route in, and remember that ground which carries a car will not always carry delivery equipment after rain.
