GUIDE / WHAT YOU GET

Shell or Finished? What You Actually Receive

This is the thing buyers get caught out by most often, and it is the reason every product page on this site states the completion level next to the price.

A shell

  • Framing, walls, roof, floor, an exterior door and any windows listed. That is the whole list.
  • No insulation. No drywall or interior finish. No electrical of any kind. No plumbing. No heating or cooling.
  • People buy shells to finish over time, to their own specification, and to spread the cost across a couple of seasons.

A finished building

Arrives complete to the specification on its page, ready to use once it is on the base.

Partially finished

The exterior is complete and some interior work is done. The product page lists exactly what, and nothing beyond that list is included. If it is not written down, it is not there.

How to check before you buy

Every listing carries a completion badge on the card, a statement beside the price, a row in the specification table, and a What Is Included block that spells out what is excluded. If you are ever unsure on any product, the answer is on that page.
