12x20 Buildings for Sale

On this site a 12 by 20 structure runs from $5,645 to $28,869, and nationwide shipping is included in every one of those prices. What moves the number is the build style, the siding and roofing material, whether there is a loft, and whether it arrives finished or as a shell.

240 square feet of floor area. For a sense of scale, a parked car takes roughly 90 square feet, and a standard single garage bay is about 200. Leave working room around the structure as well as the footprint itself.

That depends on your city and county, not on us. Many jurisdictions allow a building under a certain square footage without a permit, and most have setback rules governing how close to a boundary you can build. At 240 square feet you are in the range where it genuinely varies, so check with your local building department before ordering.

A level, load-bearing base at least as large as the 12 by 20 footprint. A compacted gravel pad is the most common choice; blocks or a concrete slab also work. The base is not included in the price and needs to be ready before delivery day.

Where a shell version exists it is listed on this page with a Shell Only badge, and its product page states plainly what is and is not included. A shell gives you the structure, roof, walls and floor with a bare interior to finish yourself.
